A Photography Expedition
Itinerary Description
This excursion will offer participants an opportunity to capture the wonders of the Grand Canyon through photography. The tour leader will provide participants with basic instructional tips and techniques for landscape photography and more importantly, will deliver participants to scenic points at the optimal time for capturing the Canyon in photos.
The excursion is offered sunset in order to encounter the best light when shooting the Canyon. Two or even three set-up and shooting sites will be utilized for this photography excursion and will be selected from a number of possible sites dependent upon weather, seasonality, crowds, and trip leader discretion.
Limited interpretation of the natural surroundings and associated cultural and geological history will be provided by your naturalist trip leader.
Personal camera gear (e.g., camera, tri-pod, filtering lenses, etc.) is required as no gear will be provided for use by guides. Group size is limited to 7 to allow for more direct, personal contact with your trip leader and to increase the overall comfort and experience of our guests. Appropriate footwear for walking along sometimes uneven but always maintained walkways and trails is required. Your trip leader will have snacks and water available on the excursion. As much of the excursion will occur under direct sunlight, appropriate dress including sun-dampening headgear is also strongly encouraged.
Pricing: $100, this trip is restricted to adults and children age 12 or older.
