The Canyon Motel and RV Park

TOURS, PACKAGES & FUN!

FUN THINGS TO DO

Take time to enjoy this perfect northern Arizona mountain getaway. A destination like Williams, the Grand Canyon, and more. Add dollar value, lots of fun activities, and relaxation and you've got yourself The Vacation. Here are some ideas that are just what the doctor ordered. The Canyon Motel & RV Park is an authorized agent for the following adventures.

Bearizona - Drive-thru Wildlife park

We are so excited about our new neighbors here in Williams! What started as a rumor has become a reality! Bearizona  Drive~Thru Wildlife Park has moved in right up the street from us and is now open. That means bears, wolves, Buffalo, armadillos, badgers, beavers, bighorn sheep, bison, bobcats, lynx, coyotes, javelina, mountain lions, mountain goats, porcupines, otters, raccoons, foxes, and skunks and who ever else will be living among us.

Bear imageOur great outdoors just got even better! And we thought living by the Grand Canyon was exciting enough.

Check out their website to get more details!

Now, the next time you come up to Williams to escape the city and relax in the pines, you’ll get to enjoy the new park with us. We are the closest Motel/RV Park to Bearizona so you can enjoy staying in one of our cottages, trains rooms or even one of our super RV spaces. We’d love to see you!

BIRTHDAY ~ WEDDING ~ HONEYMOON ~ OR ANNIVERSARY
The Canyon Motel & RV Park sits on almost 13 pristine acres in the heart of the northern Arizona mountains. This romantic getaway location has been the site for birthdays, weddings, honeymoons, anniversaries & more. Our Recreation Room, complete with kitchen, is available for your event. Imagine spending the night in an authentic 1929 Santa Fe Railroad Caboose, a trip on the Grand Canyon Railway into the Grand Canyon during the day, and then a stroll in the evening down the historic streets of Williams.

FAMILY REUNIONS
Over the years, The Canyon Motel & RV Park has been the site of numerous family reunions. If you’re looking for a location for the simplest of reunions and fairly inexpensive for all, then The Canyon Motel & RV Park is a great setting. In the evening you might want to enjoy a barbecue on the outdoor patio and later gather around the outdoor fire ring to roast some marshmallows and share stories. If everyone brings his or her own food (you know, sharing and creating a massive pot luck or smorgasbord), this becomes very easy to plan and carry out. Then, you might even want to take advantage of the indoor swimming pool area or toss some horseshoes out in the horseshoe arena. If you’ve never held a reunion before and are a rookie to all of this, then this could very well be the way to go. It takes less time to plan and doesn’t cost a whole lot. During the day, you can take a trip to The Grand Canyon, Sedona, or any one of numerous other options northern Arizona has to offer. On another evening, you all might want to have a nice dinner at a good restaurant in town. These kinds of things really don’t require a large amount of planning on your part. All you need to do is make reservations, plan a few activities for people to enjoy, and notify relatives of the address and location of where this great happening is going to be. If some of your family is the outdoor type, they can take advantage of our family RV Park. The RV sites as well as the tent sites are large enough for the family to enjoy.

GROUPS, CLUBS & ORGANIZATIONS
Over the years, The Canyon Motel & RV Park has been the home base for numerous groups, clubs, and various organizations. So, whether it’s a motorcycle group, the Chevrolet Corvette organization, or The London Bridge Yacht Club, everyone seems to love what The Canyon Motel & RV Park has to offer. From Train Club enthusiast, to the Route 66 Fan Club members, they all seem to come together in great comradery.

THE DEER FARM PETTING ZOO
(Only 10 minutes away)
Perfect for a family with children. At the Deer Farm you don't just look at the deer, you walk among them, you touch them, you let them eat right from your hand. But deer are not the only animals residing at the farm. You will see pronghorn antelope, goats, wallabies, llamas, a potbellied pig, chickens, turkeys, peacocks, a beautiful buffalo, and more.

All year long you can relive the experience of traveling to the Grand Canyon on the famous train. Just let us know what class tickets you would like, and we will make all the arrangements for you. You can visit Thomas the Tank Engine® when he comes to town. And each winter the amazing adventure known as The Polar Express® leaves Williams and takes families and friends to Santa's North Pole. This is a perfect match for those who want to sleep in one of our two 1929 Cabooses or the 1950’s Grand Canyon Pullman car. A train adventure by day and a train sleeping adventure at night. All aboard.

3. The Grand Canyon Railway
Beginning about 3 minutes from our front door, the Grand Canyon Railway travels 60 miles north to the Canyon through pristine forest and mountain lands. This was the first passenger train to arrive at the Grand Canyon, in 1901, after which it was the preferred transportation service into the Canyon area until 1968 when it finally had to give way to family and personal vehicles. However, exactly 88 years after the first passenger arrived, the passenger service was reincarnated and now hosts more than 170,000 travelers a year! Add the Grand Canyon Railway to your vacation.

The Railway features 4 different classes of service. Coach, First Class, Observation Dome & Parlor Car. PLUS TAXES AND PARK ENTRY FEES (discounts available).

This 40-50 minute air tour lets you see it all. It is a Grand Circle that begins at the South Rim. Hope you bring plenty of film! Nothing helps you get a true appreciation for the scope and scale of the Canyon like the view from a 19-passenger Twin Otter, with windows 4 times the size of commercial airline windows. Great for photography. There isn't much of the Canyon you won't see on this Tour!

5. The North Canyon Helicopter Tour
Flight Time 25-30 Minutes. A magnificent adventure exploring the bewitching Dragon Corridor and the awesome majesty of the central Canyon, bathed in ever changing shades of color, light, and shadow. Add a unique helicopter experience to your vacation.

During this tour you will have the opportunity to climb an eighty foot lookout tower that views the Canyon, the Colorado River, the Painted Desert, and San Francisco Peaks!

Journey to the bottom of the Grand Canyon. This tour originates from Williams, arrives at the Grand Canyon Caverns for a 1 hour tour, then descends to the Colorado River. Lunch is provided.

Bring your camera on this expedition – you don't want to miss any of the awesome scenery and abundant wildlife.

7. The Imperial Helicopter Tour
Flight Time 50-55 Minutes
Imagine! The drama. The beauty. See the Canyon's vast contours illuminated in brilliant beams of color. Follow the impressive Colorado River and witness its merging with the Little Colorado River. No visit to the Canyon is complete without experiencing the 7-story giant screen presentation of "GRAND CANYON-THE HIDDEN SECRETS," shown at the National Geographic Visitor's Center in full IMAX® – A "Must See" stop one mile south of the South Rim Entrance. The only way you can, in 35 minutes, get an overview of the spectacular vistas, the history of its explorations, and the hidden canyon experiences not available on any tour. Go ahead and see the Canyon, then EXPERIENCE it by making the IMAX® movie, "Grand Canyon – The Hidden Secrets," part of your visit to the area! Discounts available for all at THE CANYON MOTEL & RV Park Front Desk.
