Amtrak celebrated the first national train day in 2008 to raise awareness of the vital role rail plays in our nation’s transportation system. The Grand Canyon Railway will celebrate with lots of train activities including special locomotive and caboose tours and model train layouts, live entertainment, classic car show and antique tractor display and a special running of the Cataract Creek Rambler Steam Engine.
